I've been trying to get Social Security disability benefits since October 2015. I filed the original application on my own and got denied. I then went to an attorney I seen advertised on TV for help with my appeal. They took the case (and told me I had a good one!), but I was denied again at the hearing. I sent a letter to the appeal's council only to be denied again. That whole process took around 3 and a half years. Another attorney offered to take my case to federal court, but I made the decision to start from scratch and this time I wanted representation from the beginning. I began a long process of finding a disability attorney. I tried more "big names". Some said no, others sent me pages of forms to take to my doctor. I felt like I shouldn't have to bother my doctors with paperwork before an attorney would even agree to take my case! Eventually I came across Mr. Brodak, he took my case and submitted my new application for me. A couple of months went by before I found out I was denied again. He filed the appeal of that for me for reconsideration (a step that wasn't required the first time I tried applying) and after a few months passed I seen online that I was approved for benefits - back pay and everything! I really appreciate Mr. Brodak for not only accepting my case, but for being there to answer every random question that I had. He's a real great guy and returns calls very quickly. I would highly recommend him to anyone who has a similar situation. It just goes to show that you don't need a "big name attorney" to have a successful outcome. I wish I would have known about him in the beginning! Thanks again, Joe!
